Overview

This team is intended for those players that are looking to compete on a high level and have the ambition and ability to play on the high school level. This is a very competitive team and players will be showcased to college scouts. The expectations of this team include hard work, dedication, and commitment, and sportsmanship, player’s ability to participate on the AAU and HS level and provide the opportunity for players to be instructed at a high level with professional coaches. Players selected for this team will compete in the Summer 2015 Season National Tournaments. Our program challenges players to reach their highest level of potential by participating in high level competitive tournaments.

Expectations

The primary goal of these programs is to provide a professional educational and training environment for each player to learn the game and enjoy the game to their fullest potential. A fundamental training model is used to develop each player as an individual. The basis for this is derived from respect, sportsmanship and hard work. The philosophy of this program is to maximize the potential talent of each player. While winning may be an integral part of athletics it is not the primary reason for these teams. Development and enhancement of both baseball and humanity skills are main characteristics of this program. Coaches for these teams are all of professional backgrounds. Supplemental coaching staff are certified by USA Sports inc. based upon their ability to facilitate the programs goals, techniques, philosophy, methods and professionalism. Each coach must pass a full background check; attend coach’s classes and clinics provided by USA Sports inc. in order to become certified to coach in this program. Teams are selected based upon the player’s athletic ability, respect, sportsmanship and ability to develop his talents as a player and individual both on and off the field. Our team is expected at all times to represent this program with the utmost respect and sportsmanship at all times.

Players that are selected to these teams are expected to make a full commitment and attend all practices and games and are not permitted to play with any other teams. Making the full commitment to this team will solidify that each player is getting the correct educational methods put forth by Goose’s Gamers BASEBALL PROGRAM thus preventing any confusion in philosophy as well as any overuse situations that occur when playing on multiple teams. Coaches are available for discussion and conversation when available. These should not take place before or immediately after games. We encourage parents to take an active role in their son’s participation on these teams and attend practices and games whenever possible to assist in the fostering in the development of their skills.
